MEET COACH KC

Hi, I’m Coach KC!
I began playing recreational softball locally at 7 years old. By 12, I joined my first travel ball team, and at 15 I was competing with a San Diego based club named “Elite 97” under Coach Bob Aguilar. At 16, I was verbally committed to Louisiana State University of Alexandria (LSUA) where I played at the NAIA Div I level for one year before transferring to NCAA Div II Drury University for another two.
I was invited to play at the professional level internationally following my Senior Year. Unfortunately, for me, Covid-19 happened which resulted in a canceled season and no Italy Softball.

During college, I actually began to lose my love for the game not because of Softball itself, but because of how I was treated by certain coaches. The environment was discouraging, and it took a toll on my passion. After my senior season was canceled, I decided I no longer wanted anything to do with Softball… it only took a year for me to begin offering sessions and something powerful happened! My love for the game resurfaced, stronger than ever. But this time, I had a new purpose: to never make athletes feel the way I once did. I became committed to building stronger mindsets through positive, yet firm environments, where players are uplifted, pushed, and believed in.
I started coaching younger athletes when I was a Senior in High School and continued throughout college. What began as side lessons turned into a true calling… a mission to inspire and empower the next generation.
In 2021, the idea for THE KCP SOFTBALL CLUB was born and in 2025 it became an official non-profit organization with a mission to inspire, develop, and elevate youth athletes (especially those in the Imperial Valley). KCP isn’t just about competition, it’s about development. Developing connection, confidence, and character.
This year, we launched our first-ever KCP SUMMER COACHING PROGRAM, starting with four local high school athletes. These young leaders will be learning how to coach, mentor, and give back – ensuring that KCP not only develops players but also builds the next generation of coaches. While my specialty is in pitching, I also provide instruction in batting, fielding, and catching fundamentals. At KCP, it’s not just about athletic ability but about creating resilient, confident players who carry their strength far beyond the diamond.
